Christine Ling, Founder
and Director of Music Land, received her Bachelor of Music and
Master of Music in Piano Performance from the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music with the honor scholarship. She is an
active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California
(MTAC), the premier California professional music organization
that coordinates and administers the Certificate of Merit (CM)
program.
Christine started her professional music education at age five
and has had many years of music teaching for all ages. She has
performed around the Bay Area as a soloist and also accompanist
for singers and instrumentalist. Christine performed two piano
solo recitals at the Recital Hall in the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music, one solo recital at the Adnes Albert
Hall, San Francisco; she had also performed as solo pianist at
the Herbst Theater, San Francisco and some major venues in
China.
Besides solo performance, Christine had made performing
appearance at the chamber recitals at the Hellman Hall, Adnes
Albert Hall, and Recital Hall in the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music. Besides her performing career, Christine loves
teaching and has organized various activities for her students
to experiencing music frequently. She organized several student
recitals at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and at the
Center of Performing Art, Santa Clara University. Many of her
students have passed the Advanced level of the Royal music exam
(ABRSM) or Certificate of Merit from MTAC, and participated in
numerous competitions.
From her experience, she understands the benefit of the early
childhood music education, and would like to provide a well
prepared music environment for everyone to develop a love of
music.
